PUBLIC INVITED TO DEDICATION OF WINSTON ROOM AT SLU

CANTON – The Winston Room, formerly called the Laurentian Room, in the 
Student Center at St. Lawrence University will be dedicated in a 
ceremony on Friday, February 25, at 4:45 p.m. The event is open to 
the public, free of charge.
	Chair of the Board of Trustees Lawrence J. Winston and his wife, 
Sally A. Winston, of Bonita Springs, Florida, have pledged $2.5 million 
to the University's next comprehensive fund-raising campaign, to be used 
in support of the St. Lawrence Fund and to provide permanent funding for 
the space that had been called the Laurentian Room in the Student Center. 
In recognition of their gift, the room will be named the Winston 
Room in their honor.
	The Winston Room in the Student Center is a multi-purpose room 
designed for movies, lectures, comedians and performers. The space is 
used exclusively for student life events with attendance of up to about 
100 people.
