Visiting Professor of Modern Languages Published Book

Ana Foteva, visiting assistant professor of modern languages, has recently published a book titled Do the Balkans Begin in Vienna? The Geopolitical and Imaginary Borders between the Balkans and Europe. The book was published by Peter Lang International Academic Publishers in May 2014 and is for sale on Amazon.com.

Foteva received her Ph.D. in German literature at Purdue University. She has published in both European and American journals on a variety of topics, including late 19th-century Austrian literature, literatures of Southeastern Europe, German Classicism and theater, and contrastive analysis. She is also the recipient of several grants and awards.

Foteva currently teaches German at St. Lawrence as a visiting assistant professor.
