A List 2/12/01 VERTICAL HORIZON TO PLAY SLU CANTON -- The band Vertical Horizon, with opening act Sister Hazel, will perform at St. Lawrence University on Sunday, February 25, at 9 p.m. in Leithead Field House. Tickets, at $15 for general admission and $5 for St. Lawrence students, are available at Brewer Bookstore, the E.J. Noble University Center main desk, Strawberry Fields and Northern Music and Video. After three successful independent releases, Vertical Horizon (Keith Kane on vocals and guitar; Sean Hurley on bass; Matt Scannell on lead vocals and guitar; and Ed Toth on drums) made its major-label debut in 1999, with Everything You Want. In December, the band won two Billboard Music Awards, for Adult Top 40 Artist Of The Year and Adult Top 40 Track Of The Year for "Everything You Want."
