U.S.-Based Indian News Profiles SLU Student Researcher

Tanveer Kalo '18, a government major and history minor from Queens, New York, was profiled by the California-based India West newspaper for his research on Asian Indians who served in the U.S military during the First World War.

In spring of 2017, Kalo did an internship with the United States World War One Centennial Commission, researching information for their website. The Commission published one of Tanveer's articles, titled "Discovering the Unknown - Asian Indian soldiers in the US Military during WWI," on and featured his research in its Aug. 30 podcast.
