Music Of Canada Featured In University Chorus Fall Concert

CANTON - "O Canada," a concert featuring music composed and arranged by contemporary Canadian artists, will be performed by the University Chorus on Sunday, November 13, at 2 p.m. in Gunnison Memorial Chapel on the St. Lawrence campus. The event is open to the public, free of charge.

The University Chorus, combining the vocal talents of students, faculty, staff and community neighbors, is directed by Barry Torres; Barbara Phillips-Farley is accompanist.

The program includes an eclectic mix of diverse Canadian music. "O Canada," the national anthem, will be performed in both English and French; additional selections include folk songs, works by popular Canadian performers Joni Mitchell and Leonard Cohen and some contemporary art music drawn from across the country.
