A List 7/1/05 THREE ELECTED TO SLU BOARD OF TRUSTEES CANTON – Three St. Lawrence University graduates have been elected to positions on the Board of Trustees, with terms each beginning July 1. Joseph P. Richardson, of Slingerlands, New York, is director of economic development for the Albany-Colonie Regional Chamber of Commerce and graduated from St. Lawrence in 1963, majoring in economics with minors in English and psychology. After 41 years in corporate banking, he retired in February 2005 as senior vice president at Citizens Bank NA. He is a former president of the Empire chapter of Robert Morris Associates and a founding director and first president of Capital Affordable Housing Partnership. Richardson serves on the boards of several organizations and is active in community fundraising and economic development initiatives. He earned the MBA degree at the Stonier Graduate School of Banking at Rutgers University in 1978, is past-president of the St. Lawrence University Alumni Executive Council and has served the University in many volunteer capacities, including fundraising, career advising and the Saints Network. Jordan M. Gray, of Princeton, New Jersey, and Melissa W. MacGregor, of Arlington, Virginia, were elected as the Board's two McCurdy/Sprague Trustees. McCurdy/Sprague Trustees must have graduated from the University no more than 10 years before the time of their election. Gray, a 1995 graduate, is a founder and managing partner of AGS Benefits Group, LLC, an insurance benefit brokerage and consultant company with offices in New York, Boston and Princeton. Prior to this position, he was president of Gray/Austin Consulting Corporation, which also specialized in healthcare consulting. He earned his degree from St. Lawrence in history and as a student, Gray was a member of the lacrosse team and Sigma Chi fraternity, served on Interfraternity Council and was an active community volunteer. He has continued to be involved with the University as an alumnus, serving as Reunion co-chair for his class. In his local community, Gray has helped organize fundraising events for several local charities and volunteered for numerous organizations including the Boys and Girls Club in Harlem, New York. MacGregor is an associate attorney at Crowell & Moring LLP, a law firm in Washington, D.C., where she is a member of the Securities Regulation and Enforcement Group. MacGregor graduated from St. Lawrence in 1998 with a degree in government and history, and was elected to the national academic honor society Phi Beta Kappa and the leadership honorary Omicron Delta Kappa. She also studied in London for a semester, through the University's International and Intercultural Studies Program and earned her law degree, with honors, from the American University Washington College of Law in 2001. As an alumna, MacGregor has served as chair of the D.C.
