TWO TRUSTEES ELECTED BY ST. LAWRENCE

CANTON -- James W. Ireland III, president of NBC television stations 
in New York, and Amanda P. Pearson, publications coordinator for the 
Weatherhead Center for International Affairs at Harvard University, 
have been elected trustees of St. Lawrence University, their alma 
mater. Their terms begin July 1.
	Ireland, a 1977 graduate of St. Lawrence with a degree in 
government, has been active as a fund-raising and career planning 
volunteer. He was a member of the Phi Beta Kappa honor society, Beta 
Theta Pi fraternity and the football and baseball teams as a student.
	Pearson is a 1992 graduate with a degree in government and 
has been elected as a McCurdy/Sprague trustee, a designation for alumni 
whose graduation was 10 years ago or less. She earned a master's degree 
from the London School of Economics and participated in St. Lawrence's 
program of study in Kenya while a student.
	In addition to these new elections, trustees Frank W. Burr, of 
Ho-Ho-Kus, New Jersey; John M. Finley II, of Copper Mountain, Colorado; 
Cheryl L. Grandfield, of New York; Janet H. Legro, of Charlottesville, 
Virginia; and Katy B. MacKay, of New York, were all re-elected to terms 
on the board, all beginning July 1.
