Student Concludes Research with World War I Organization

Tanveer Kalo '18 of Queens, New York, took part in a Spring 2017 internship at the U.S. World War I Centennial Commission.

During his internship, Tanveer conducted research on Asian Indians, who served in the U.S military during the First World War. "I attempted  to present their life's story from their arrival to the U.S to their last known event through available primary documents," he said.

Tanveer received a Ronald E. McNair summer fellowship in Summer 2016 and worked directly with Associate Professor of History Howard Eissenstat on a project, titled "Readings in Political Islam."
