ST. LAWRENCE PROFESSOR PART OF WRITERS SERIES

CANTON - Elizabeth Stuckey-French, a lecturer in English at St. Lawrence 
University teaching courses in fiction writing, will read from her recent 
work as part of the Writers Series on campus.
	Stuckey-French will read on Wednesday, February 10, at 8 p.m. in 
Herring-Cole. The event is open to the public, free of charge.
	She is the author of The First Paper Girl in Red Oak, Iowa, and 
Other Stories, which will be published this year by Random House. Her 
fiction has been published in The Atlantic, Gettysburg Review, Southern 
Review, Cottonwood, The Indianapolis Star and Crescent Review, and has 
been included in several anthologies. 
	Stuckey-French was awarded a James Michener Fellowship from the 
Iowa Writers Workshop, an Indiana Arts Project Grant to teach creative 
writing in schools and an individual artist grant from the Indiana Arts 
Commission.
