'CELTIC JOURNEY' PRESENTED IN CONCERT AT ST. LAWRENCE

CANTON - The St. Lawrence University String Orchestra will present "A Celtic Journey: Music from Ireland and Scotland" on Sunday, April 29, at 2 p.m. in Gunnison Memorial Chapel. The concert is open to the public, free of charge.

The String Orchestra, a 35-member string chamber orchestra made up of violins, violas, cellos and basses, includes University students and staff, but is also open to local community musicians and students as well. It is directed by Chris Hosmer.

This performance includes a stylistically diverse assortment of Scottish and Irish traditional music, including ballads, jigs, reels and polkas.
