POET STEPHEN DUNN IN SLU WRITERS SERIES

CANTON - Pulitzer Prize-winning poet Stephen Dunn will speak 
and read from his works at St. Lawrence University on Wednesday, 
April 24, at 8 p.m. in Herring-Cole. The annual Sandra M. Nelson 
Memorial Poetry Reading, the event is open to the public, free of 
charge. It is the final event in this academic year's St. Lawrence 
Writers Series.
	Dunn has authored 11 books of poems over the past 25 years. 
His most recent, Different Hours, won the 2001 Pulitzer Prize for 
Poetry. The subject of the volume is daily life in southern New Jersey, 
where Dunn lives and is a professor of creative writing at Richard 
Stockton College. He has been honored by the National Book Critics 
Circle, the National Poetry Series, the National Endowment for the 
Arts, the Guggenheim and Rockefeller Foundations and the New Jersey 
State Council on the Arts.
