Poet/Publisher/Art Dealer Stanley Moss At St. Lawrence As Part Of Writers Series
CANTON - Stanley Moss will speak and read from recent work in an appearance at St. Lawrence University on Wednesday, October 8, at 8 p.m. in the Common Room of Sykes Residence Hall. Part of the University's Writers Series, the event is open to the public, free of charge.
His first book of poems, The Wrong Angel, was published in 1966. Moss is the author of five other books of poems: The Skull of Adam (1979); The Intelligence of Clouds (1989); Asleep in the Garden (1997); A History of Color (2003); and New & Selected Poems 2006. In 1977, he founded Sheep Meadow Press, a non-profit publishing company that publishes poetry and "belles-lettres," with a special focus on international poets in translation. In addition, Moss is a private art dealer, largely in Spanish and Italian Old Masters.
