St. Lawrence Remains a Top College in New York: Niche
St. Lawrence University was named one of the best campus in New York by Niche.com and among the top 50 best small and best liberal arts colleges in America.
For 2017, Niche assessed and ranked more than 2,500 public and private colleges and universities across the country, a significant increase from 1,713 in 2016 and less than 950 in 2015. St. Lawrence received an overall grade of A and was ranked number 12 best colleges in New York State and number 40 best liberal arts college in America.
While Niche analyzes data from the U.S. Department of Education and other sources, it places a great deal of weight on voluntary student reviews. More than 700 current St. Lawrence students and recent alumni filled out their questionnaire. A high ranking indicates that students are very happy with the quality of campus resources and facilities and love their campus community.
One first-year student wrote, “Choosing to go to St. Lawrence University was one of the best choices I've ever made. The SLU community is truly unique and I love all of the relationships I’m forming. From friends to professors, everyone is willing to help you in some way.”
Niche was founded in 2002 by Carnegie Mellon University students originally as CollegeProwler.com.
