SLU HOSTS SHENANDOAH SHAKESPEARE COMPANY OCT. 20-26
CANTON – The Shenandoah Shakespeare company will perform The Two Gentlemen
of Verona, Henry IV: Part One and Oscar Wilde's The Importance of Being
Earnest at St. Lawrence University, October 20 through 26. Tickets for all
performances may be purchased for $3, at the E.J. Noble University Center
and Brewer Bookstore, beginning on Monday, October 6, for University students,
faculty and staff, and beginning Wednesday, October 9, for the general
public.
Praised by critics for "blowing the cobwebs out of Elizabethan drama,"
Shenandoah Shakespeare delights audiences at home and abroad with a fresh,
energetic approach to Shakespeare. The company has presented fall performances
at St. Lawrence for many years.
All performances will be in Eben Holden, as follows:
- Monday, October 20, 7:30 p.m., The Two Gentlemen of Verona
- Wednesday, October 22, 7:30 p.m., Henry IV: Part One
- Thursday, October 23, 7:30 p.m., The Importance of Being Earnest
- Friday, October 24, 7:30 p.m., Henry IV: Part One
- Friday, October 24, midnight, The Two Gentlemen of Verona
- Saturday, October 25, 7:30 p.m., The Importance of Being Earnest
- Sunday, October 26, 1:30 p.m., children's matinee, The Two Gentlemen of Verona
