SLU Ranked No. 6 For Alumni Who Will Jump-Start Career
Business Insider reported that St. Lawrence University comes in number six in The Princeton Review’s list of 25 schools with alumni who will jump-start your career.
The listed was based on The Princeton Review's 2016 edition of Colleges That Pay You Back, which included St. Lawrence as a top school for making an impact. The ranking was based on student ratings and responses to survey questions covering community service opportunities at their school, student government, sustainability efforts and on-campus student engagement. They also took into account PayScale.com’s percentage of alumni from each school that reported having high job meaning.
Ranked number six on the list, The Princeton Review said that St. Lawrence has several programs in place that give current students the opportunity to be mentored by alumni in their desired field of study, such as the Shadow-a-Saint program, which matches them with alumni to shadow for up to a week.
"Networking and alumni contact is HUGE!" a student told The Princeton Review. "Alumni are very helpful and are proud to lend a hand."
