SKOTT FREEDMAN, MUSICIAN & ACTIVIST, TO APPEAR AT SLU

CANTON – Singer, songwriter and activist Skott Freedman will be at St. Lawrence 
University November 6 and 7, speaking and performing. He will give a talk 
on Thursday, November 6, at 7 p.m. in Room 123 of the Griffiths Arts Center, 
and a concert on Friday, November 7, at 8 p.m. in the Northstar Pub. Both 
events are open to the public, free of charge.
	Freedman's newest album, Some Company, features new original material 
and returns to his roots of voice and piano. His 2001 album, Anything Worth 
Mentioning, was the 2002 OUTMUSIC Award Winner for Best New Recording – Male. 
	In addition to performing, Freedman is the nation's youngest touring 
bisexual activist, traveling throughout the country giving a talk titled 
"Battling Biphobia and Bringing Bisexuals Back to Both Communities." He has 
appeared on national gay radio programs and is a regular guest speaker at 
colleges and universities.
	The presentation and lecture addresses the most common misconceptions 
about bisexuality and its complexities.
