MUSICIAN, ACTIVIST SKOTT FREEDMAN TO SPEAK & PERFORM AT SLU

CANTON - Singer, songwriter and activist Skott Freedman will appear 
at St. Lawrence University on Thursday, February 20, at 7:30 p.m. 
in the North Star Pub, E.J. Noble University Center, performing on 
grand piano. Following the performance, at 8:30 p.m., he will give 
a talk, in Room 123 of Griffiths Arts Center. Both events are open 
to the public, free of charge.
	Freedman's newest album, Some Company,, features new original 
material and returns to his roots of voice and piano. His 2001 album, 
Anything Worth Mentioning, was the 2002 OUTMUSIC Award Winner for 
Best New Recording - Male. 
	In addition to performing, Freedman is the nation's youngest 
touring bisexual activist and is traveling the country with his 
lecture titled "Battling Biphobia and Bringing Bisexuals Back to 
Both Communities." He has appeared on national gay radio programs 
and is a regular guest speaker at colleges and universities.
	The presentation and lecture addresses the most common 
misconceptions about bisexuality and its complexities.
