SLU APPOINTS ASSISTANT CHAPLAIN; TO LEAD SERVICES STARTING 9/14

CANTON – Shaun D. Whitehead has been appointed assistant chaplain at 
St. Lawrence University, and will begin leading Progressive Christian Worship 
services in the African-American tradition on Sunday, September 14, at 5 p.m. 
in Gunnison Memorial Chapel on campus. All are welcome to participate.
	The recipient of a 2003 Master of Divinity degree from McCormick Theological 
Seminary in Chicago, Whitehead earned awards for worship and leadership in 
the community. She has been a worship leader on many occasions, participating 
in the liturgy, which included singing, preaching and litanies.  
	The Progressive Christian Worship service will be held each Sunday in 
Gunnison Memorial Chapel at 5 p.m., with Whitehead preaching.
