Yom Kippur, Rosh Hashanah Music Begins SLU's Noon Organ Recitals Series

CANTON - St. Lawrence University will again host a series of monthly organ recitals at the lunch hour in Gunnison Memorial Chapel, featuring Musician-in-Residence Sondra Goldsmith Proctor. The first event in the academic year will be at 12:15 p.m. on Friday, September 10, featuring the music of Yom Kippur and Rosh Hashanah.

Those attending are encouraged to bring their lunch to eat while enjoying the music.

Featured are pieces for the organ by Samuel Adler, Oskar Gottlieb Blarr, William Bolcom and Herman Berlinski, along with a piece for the flute by Ernest Bloch and featuring Associate Professor of Philosophy Laura Rediehs, on the flute, and the Ad Hoc Singers.
