SLU's Higher Ed Night Includes Expert Panel On Selective Colleges
CANTON - A panel of representatives from selective colleges will participate in a discussion session on Tuesday, October 6, from 5:15 to 6 p.m. in Room 124 of the Augsbury Physical Education Center at St. Lawrence University, immediately before Higher Education Night, which is in Leithead Field House from 6 to 8 p.m.
The event is designed for students in grades nine through 11 who may be considering application to selective colleges and universities, and their parents; seniors and parents are also welcome.
Representatives from Colgate University, Skidmore College and Syracuse University, all institutions with selective admissions policies, will provide insight and advice about the process, focusing on what students can do throughout high school to be prepared to apply to selective colleges. Topics to be covered include curricular choices; summer activities and jobs; and school and community activities.
