RUTKOWSKI FIRST IN SLU WRITERS SERIES FOR '07

CANTON - Novelist Thaddeus Rutkowski will speak and read from recent works in the first event of the St. Lawrence University Writers Series for the year, on Thursday, January 25, at 8 p.m. in the Common Room of Sykes Residence Hall. The event is open to the public, free of charge.

Rutkowski is the author of two novels, Roughhouse and Tetched; both were finalists for an Asian American Literary Award. His work has been anthologized in Screaming Monkeys: Critiques of Asian American Images, Sweet Jesus: Poems About the Ultimate Icon and The Outlaw Bible of American Poetry. His writing has also appeared in numerous publications, including Fiction, American Letters and Commentary, Hayden's Ferry Review and the New York Times.
