Four graduates will receive Alumni Citations:

Herndon was the first FBI polygraph supervisor, administering the test to Jack Ruby, among others. The society of Former Special Agents of the FBI provides $2,500 to selected members, who designate a college or university of their choice to receive the J. Edgar Hoover Memorial Scholarship. Herndon was chosen for the honor in 2007 and named St. Lawrence as the recipient.

- Priscilla Harvey Schroeder '56 is a retired computer programmer, analyst and mathematician who pioneered the role of women in the aerospace industry at Pratt Whitney Rocketdyne, Boeing and General Electric. In addition to her demanding career, Schroeder has been active in her community, as an officer and president of her school district, as a member regional school board consortia and as a member of the California School Board Association. She has been on St. Lawrence's Alumni Executive Council, served as her Class Reporter and has organized events and been involved in fund-raising for the University.

During that time, the endowment has grown; the geographic diversity of the student body has increased; and the historic campus has undergone an extensive adaptive reuse architectural program. The school, with Hall's leadership, is involved in the Global Forum for Girls' Education, whose overarching goal is to ensure every girl everywhere has the opportunity to obtain a good elementary and secondary education.

- Susan Aasen '80 is a multiple Emmy Award-winning producer for "ABC World News Tonight." A journalist with ABC for three decades, stories produced by Aasen are frequently seen on the nightly news program's popular "Person of the Week" segment. One of the few broadcast journalists accepted to a fellowship in journalism at Stanford University, Aasen is also a volunteer on behalf of women and girls in Afghanistan.

Kathryn Mayer '82 will receive the Sol Feinstone Award for Humanitarian Service, presented to a graduate who, through devotion of his or her resources or personal effort, has demonstrated deep commitment to the advancement of the freedom of people to pursue and attain personal, professional and economic freedom. CEO of K.C. Mayer Consulting, Mayer has placed special focus on microfinancing opportunities for women in developing nations.
