ALUMNI REUNION AT SLU JUNE 3-6

CANTON - A variety of educational, recreational and social 
events are planned for Alumni Reunion Weekend at St. Lawrence 
University, June 3 through 6. Over 1,000 people are expected 
to attend.
	This year, in addition to reunions of specific classes, 
reunions of three special groups are planned:
	- To celebrate the 100th anniversary of St. Lawrence's 
chapter of the academic honor society Phi Beta Kappa, alumni 
elected to that group will hold a reunion. A special seminar 
series and other events have been planned.
	- St. Lawrence's program of study in Kenya celebrates 
its 25th anniversary this year and alumni who participated in 
that program have been invited to special reunion events. 
	- Alumni of color have also been invited to participate 
in special reunion events this year as well, including a discussion 
of diversity on campus.
	Seminars with University faculty, staff and alumni are 
planned throughout the weekend, in addition to campus tours, a 
talk by President Daniel F. Sullivan, trips to area attractions 
and the traditional Parade of Classes.
	Saturday morning, four graduates will receive Alumni Citations:
	- Frank Shields '54, of Canton, former University director 
of alumni relations.
	- David R. Demarest '70, Potsdam, New York State Justice of 
the Supreme Court, Fourth Judicial District.
	- Robert Montgomery '82, Baltimore, attending physician and 
member of the surgical faculty at Johns Hopkins University Hospital.
	- Betty Green Andrews '58, Lacona, retired psychology professor 
at Jefferson Community College.
