SLU WILL RECOGNIZE RETIRING FACULTY MEMBERS AT COMMENCEMENT

CANTON - At Commencement ceremonies this year, St. Lawrence 
University will recognize the contributions of 11 faculty members 
who are retiring. They represent a total of over 360 years of service 
to the University, averaging 33 years each.
	Faculty to be recognized at Commencement (Sunday, May 23, 
10 a.m., Owen D. Young Library Quadrangle), and their years of service, 
are:
	Professor of Philosophy Henry B. Crimmel, 34 years; Professor 
of History Jack M. Culpepper, 35 years; Professor of Geography William 
T. Elberty Jr., 41 years; Associate Professor of Education William M. 
Fox, 26 years; Associate Professor of Philosophy Brian S. Kirby, 33 
years; Assistant Professor of Modern Languages (French) Edward J. Pierce, 
28 years; Associate Professor of History Robert S. Schwartz, 32 years; 
George F. Baker Professor of Chemistry Samuel S. Stradling, 36 years; 
Associate Professor of Economics David H. Vrooman Jr., 34 years; Munsil 
Professor of Government Robert N. Wells Jr., 34 years;  and Associate 
Professor of Biology Russell F. Wells, 28 years.
