A List 4/26/04 FIRST-YEAR SLU STUDENTS OFFER MUSIC IN BENEFIT EVENT CANTON – Students in one of St. Lawrence University's First-Year Program seminars – studying protest music – will offer a series of performances benefiting two campus organizations. Beginning at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday, April 29, outside the Student Center, four bands comprised of students in the First-Year Program seminar "The Machine Kills Fascists: Exploring Protest Music" will perform. The bands are The Solutions, Immunities, The Recepticals and JIJP. The faculty band The Leftovers will also perform. At the event, voluntary donations will be accepted, to benefit campus organizations Women's Action Group and Men Against Sexual Violence. Following the performances, students who participated in the recent March for Women's Lives will give a presentation on that event.
