DIRECTOR OF ADVANCEMENT SERVICES SELECTED AT SLU

CANTON - Maureen Prahl, of Potsdam, has been appointed director 
of advancement services at St. Lawrence University. Prahl will 
begin her new responsibilities in January of 2003.
	Since 2000, Prahl has been a senior consultant with Micro 
Information Products, Inc. She was director of advancement services 
at Clarkson University from 1997 to 2000; Prahl has also worked at 
Clarkson as associate director of foundation relations and 
assistant and associate director of development. From 1993 to 1995, 
she was the development director for Hospice of St. Lawrence 
Valley.
	Prahl is a graduate of Georgetown University, with a 
master of business administration degree from Clarkson. She has 
also been a member of the Potsdam Board of Education and a 
volunteer with the Potsdam Newman Center and North Country Public 
Radio.
	At St. Lawrence, Prahl will provide supervision of the areas 
supporting University advancement, including research, bookkeeping 
and database maintenance and management.
