Piscataway Indian Nation Singers And Dancers Performing At St. Lawrence

CANTON - Mark Tayac and the Piscataway Indian Nation Singers and Dancers will perform at St. Lawrence University on Monday, November 2, at 7 p.m. in Leithead Field House. The performance is open to the public, free of charge.

The internationally recognized ensemble will present a living history program featuring authentic Native American dance, drum and song.

The Piscataway Nation Singers and Dancers travel throughout Europe, Canada and the United States to present programs about American Indian culture, traditions and contemporary issues. The group appeared in the movie Dances With Wolves, and frequently contributes to programs on the History and Discovery channels. They appear regularly at the Smithsonian's Museum of the American Indian, national powwows, major festivals and colleges across the country.
