A List 2/28/05 PERFORMER GUSTAVO TOLOSA GUEST FOR SLU PIANO WEEKEND CANTON – Pianist Gustavo Tolosa will present a workshop and concert during St. Lawrence University's Piano Weekend, Saturday and Sunday, March 5 and 6. The workshop will be on Saturday, March 5, at 11 a.m. in Gilbert Recital Hall, Griffiths Arts Center, and the concert will be on Sunday, March 6, at 2 p.m., also in Gilbert Recital Hall. Tolosa maintains an active career as a solo and chamber music pianist; he is also in constant demand as competition adjudicator and master class presenter. He is the director of college programs at Brookhaven College in Dallas, Texas. Tolosa's innovative recitals combine music with other art forms and include multi-media presentations. Classical composers, as well as 20th-century composers and Latin American composers, are his major areas of interest. Since 1978 Tolosa has given more than 300 performances in the U.S. and South America. His 2004-2005 concert tour consists of 15 recitals and presentations throughout the country. The Piano Weekend at St. Lawrence is supported by the James W. Hutchison Music Fund and the Rutherford E.
