Philosophy Students At St. Lawrence Hosting Conference
CANTON - Philosophy students at St. Lawrence University will host an undergraduate philosophy conference on campus on Friday and Saturday, April 6 and 7. In addition to presentations by St. Lawrence students, the conference features presentations by students from a number of other colleges and a keynote address by Paul Forster, of the philosophy department at the University of Ottawa.
Organizers of the conference are seniors Mandy Lafond, of Derry, New Hampshire, who is the president of the philosophy honor society Phi Sigma Tau, and Sarah Baver, of Mont Vernon, New Hampshire, vice-present of Phi Sigma Tau.
The conference features presentations by 20 students, including seven from other colleges. It is the first undergraduate philosophy conference held at St. Lawrence and has been completely arranged by students.
