SLU Writers Series Wraps Up With Peter Selgin April 28
CANTON - St. Lawrence University Viebranz Visiting Writer Peter Selgin will speak and read from recent work in the final Writers Series event of the academic year, on Thursday, April 28, at 8 p.m. in the Common Room of Sykes Residence Hall. The event is open to the public, free of charge.
Selgin is the author of Drowning Lessons, winner of the 2007 Flannery O'Connor Award for Fiction, and the novel Life Goes to the Movies. He has also written two books on the craft of writing, By Cunning & Craft and 179 Ways to Save a Novel: Matters of Vital Concern to Fiction Writers, recently published by Writers Digest Books. Confessions of a Left-Handed Man, a a memoir in essays whose title essay was included in Best American Essays 2006, was recently accepted for publication by University of Iowa Press/Sightline Books.
