Economist Lecture Part Of SLU's Contemporary Issues Forum

CANTON - Economist Peter Boettke will give a talk titled "Adam Smith, the 20th Century Economy and 21st Century Economics" on Tuesday, October 21, at 8 p.m. in the auditorium of Hepburn Hall (Room 218) at St. Lawrence University. The event, part of the Contemporary Issues Forum, is open to the public, free of charge.

Peter Boettke is the BB&T Professor for the Study of Capitalism and Research Director for the Global Prosperity Initiative at the Mercatus Center, and professor of economics at George Mason University. Boettke is author of several books on the history, collapse and transition from socialism in the former Soviet Union.

The Contemporary Issues Forum brings experts and participants in the making of news to campus throughout the academic year.
