PERCIVAL EVERETT PART OF SLU WRITERS SERIES
CANTON - Novelist Percival Everett will speak and read from recent works on
Thursday, November 30, at 8 p.m. in Herring-Cole Hall at St. Lawrence University,
as part of the Writers Series. The event is open to the public, free of charge.
He is the author of 15 novels, including Wounded, Glyph, Erasure and American
Desert. Everett is also the author of three collections of short fiction,
including Big Picture, which received the PEN/Oakland-Josephine Miles Award
for Excellence in Literature. His other honors include the Literature Award
from the American Academy of Arts and Letters and the Hurston/Wright Legacy
Award. Everett teaches creative writing, American studies and critical
theory at the University of Southern California.
