Free 'Music For Inauguration' Organ Recital Offered At St. Lawrence

CANTON - Sondra Goldsmith Proctor, organist-in-residence, will perform a free "noon in the chapel" organ recital on Friday, October 23, at 12:15 p.m. in Gunnison Memorial Chapel at St. Lawrence University. The recital is open to the public and those attending are encouraged to bring a lunch to enjoy along with the performances.

The event will feature "Music for an Inauguration," in celebration of the inauguration of William L. Fox as the University's 18th president on October 24. Selections to be performed on the chapel's Estey Organ include Praeludium und Fuge in Es-Dur by Johann Sebastian Bach and the Adagio and Toccata from Symphony V by Charles-Marie Widor.
