SLU Noon Concert Presents Music For Rosh Hashanah & Yom Kippur
CANTON - "Music for Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur" is the theme for the October organ recital at the lunch hour in St. Lawrence University's Gunnison Memorial Chapel, featuring Musician-in-Residence Sondra Goldsmith Proctor and the Ad Hoc Singers, at 12:15 p.m. on Friday, October 7. The event is open to the public, free of charge, and parking is available adjacent to the chapel.
Those attending are encouraged to bring their lunch to eat while enjoying the music.
"Oseh Shalom," "Sim Shalom" and other songs will be sung by the Ad Hoc Singers, Alexandra Jacobs, Julia Pomainville and Laura Ramsey. Proctor will play "Two Preludes for the High Holy Days: Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur" by Herman Berlinski.
