Music For Christmas Offered In Noon Organ Concert At SLU Dec. 9
CANTON - "Music for Christmas," featuring compositions by Daquin, Balbastre, Rutter,
Fissinger and others, will be performed at the lunch hour in St. Lawrence University's Gunnison Memorial Chapel, featuring Musician-in-Residence Sondra Goldsmith Proctor and the Ad Hoc Singers, at 12:15 p.m. on Friday, December 9. The event is open to the public, free of charge, and parking is available adjacent to the chapel.
Those attending are encouraged to bring their lunch to eat while enjoying the music.
The performance promises "music to calm the spirit and lift the soul," with organ, voice and both together. The Ad Hoc Singers are Alexandra Jacobs, Peter Jensen-Moulton, Lansing Laraway, Julia Pomainville and Laura Ramsey.
