Last ‘Noon in the Chapel’ at St. Lawrence Rescheduled for May 3
CANTON – St. Lawrence University will host the final “Noon in the Chapel” of the season on Friday, May 3, at 12:15 p.m. in Gunnison Memorial Chapel. The event was originally scheduled for April 12 but was postponed due to inclement weather.
The event will feature early French and Italian organ music by the “Great Masters” Giovanni Gabrieli, Benedetto Marcello, Girolamo Frescobaldi, François Couperin and Louis-Nicholas Clérambault. The University’s musician-in-residence Sondra Goldsmith Proctor will perform.
The performance is open to the public, free of charge. The audience is encouraged to bring a lunch to enjoy while listening. Parking will be available in the lot adjacent to the Chapel.
