St. Lawrence Concert Offers 'Music For Brown-Baggers'
CANTON - A free "noon in the chapel" recital of "Music for Brown-Baggers" will be held on Friday, March 26, at 12:15 p.m. in Gunnison Memorial Chapel at St. Lawrence University. The event is open to the public and those attending are encouraged to bring a lunch to enjoy along with the performance.
Selections for the recital, by the University's Musician-In-Residence Sondra Goldsmith Proctor, include Sonata No. 1, Opus 65, by Felix Mendelssohn, and Toccata and Fugue, by Max Reger.
The final Noon in the Chapel program will be Friday, April 23. "Jazz in the Chapel" will feature the Ad Hoc Singers, as well as Goldsmith Proctor at the organ.
Also, on Saturday, April 10, at 8 p.m. in the chapel, a concert of music from Eastern Europe, called "Four Hands/Four Feet at the Organ" features Martin Kasparek with Goldsmith Proctor.
