Noon in the Chapel Presents Third Organ Masters Concert
St. Lawrence University’s Noon in the Chapel will continue its 2017-18 concert series with the third of its “Organ Masters” concerts, featuring the music of Johann Sebastian Bach (1685-1750). The performance, which is free and open to the public, will begin at 12:15 p.m. on Friday, March 9, in Gunnison Memorial Chapel.
The concert will feature Abigail Evans ’20 on violin and Musician-In-Residence Sondra Goldsmith Proctor on organ. The will perform “Trio Sonata II in C minor,” BWV 526, “Concerto IV in C Major,” BWV 595, chorale preludes from the Orgelbüchlein, and “Andante” from “Concerto II in a minor,” BWV 1041.
Parking for chapel events will be in H-Lot, across from Griffiths Arts Center and next to Vilas Hall. There also will be a drop-off location and limited handicapped parking spaces in front of Richardson Hall and at the front of the chapel.
