SLU HOSTS NAOMI GUTTMAN IN WRITERS SERIES
CANTON - Poet Naomi Guttman will speak and read from recent works in an appearance
at St. Lawrence University on Thursday, February 8, at 8 p.m. in Herrring-Cole,
part of the University's Writers Series.
Guttman's Reasons for Winter won the A.M. Klein Award for Poetry and was short-listed
for the League of Canadian Poets' Pat Lowther Memorial Award. A new book of poems,
Wet Apples, White Blood, is forthcoming in April from McGill-Queen's University Press.
Her work has appeared in numerous journals and anthologies, including Southern Poetry
Review, Connecticut Review and Sad Little Breathings & Other Acts of Ventriloquism.
She teaches English and creative writing at Hamilton College.
