Concert By Manhattan Piano Trio Planned At St. Lawrence
CANTON -- The Manhattan Piano Trio will perform works by composers from Eastern Europe in a concert on Wedensday, February 24, at 8 p.m. in the Underground (Noble Center 001) at St. Lawrence University. The event is open to the public, free of charge.
The trio includes violinist Wayne Lee, cellist Dmitry Kouzov and pianist Milana Strezeva.
Included in the performance will be works by Arvo Pärt, Bohuslav Martinů, Béla Bartók, Dmitriy Shostakovich and Antonín Dvořák.
Since its inception in 2004, the Manhattan Piano Trio has been recognized for its electrifying performances in international competitions. With more than 300 concerts in its first five seasons alone, the trio is one of the most active groups in the classical music scene.
