St. Lawrence University Rolls Out Its Own 'App'

CANTON - High school students interested in St. Lawrence University have a different kind of application to try out in their college search process. It's a University-specific "app" for smartphones and tablet computers.

The new St. Lawrence Admissions App (short for mobile application software) is available for free for the iPhone/iPad/iPod Touch and for phones and tablets with the Android operating system. Once downloaded, anyone with the app on their device can keep up with all things St. Lawrence while on the go.

Among the features of the app:
- Campus news, athletics news and an event calendar
- Bulletins, deadlines and information for students applying to the University
- A checklist for those who plan to apply, visit campus or connect with an admissions counselor
- A searchable "find your counselor" function, so students may connect with the counselor who covers their region
- Campus maps, videos, photos, directions to campus and a virtual campus tour
- Twitter feeds from the University
