MAT KEARNEY TO PERFORM AT ST. LAWRENCE OCT. 5

CANTON - Singer-songwriter Mat Kearney, whose songs have appeared on the soundtracks of television shows "Grey's Anatomy," "Laguna Beach," "The Hills," "Bones," "One Tree Hill" and "The Closer," will perform at St. Lawrence University on Friday, October 5, in Leithead Field House.

Tickets, available at the Student Center information desk, the St. Lawrence Bookstore and Northern Music in Potsdam, are $10 for students and $15 for non-students. Doors open for the concert at 7 p.m.; the show starts at 8 p.m. Folk-rock/experimental/pop artist meiko will open for Kearney.

Based in Nashville, Kearney has received widespread recognition from his 2006 major-label debut, Nothing Left to Lose. He has toured with John Mayer, Sheryl Crow and The Fray; and headlined VH1's first-ever "You Oughta Know Tour" in the spring of 2007.
