'Experimental Economics' Is Topic For Talk At SLU
CANTON - Maria Pia Paganelli will give a talk titled "Adam Smith and Experimental Economics" on Tuesday, March 10, at 7:30 p.m. in Hepburn Auditorium at St. Lawrence University. The event, part of both the Contemporary Issues Forum and the economics department Visiting Speaker Series in Political Economy, is open to the public, free of charge.
Paganelli is an assistant professor of economics at Yeshiva University and an associate adjunct professor at New York University. She holds a Ph.D. and M.A. in economics from George Mason University, and a M.A. and B.A. in political science from Universita Cattolica del Sacro Cuore of Milan, Italy. She specializes in the history of economic thought and has an interest in behavioral economics. Her focus is on Adam Smith, David Hume and 18th-century monetary theories.
The Contemporary Issues Forum brings experts and participants in the making of news to campus throughout the academic year.
