SLU'S LAURENTIAN SINGERS TO PERFORM IN MORLEY CHURCH

CANTON - St. Lawrence University's Laurentian Singers will
perform in a Christmas concert and hold a carol sing-along at Trinity
Chapel in Morley on Sunday, December 9, at 4 p.m. The event is
open to the public, free of charge.
The music will be a mix of familiar holiday selections
such as "O, Holy Night," "What Child Is This?" and "Carol Of The
Bells," along with medieval carols for the season. Trinity Chapel,
consecrated on July 26, 1871, is listed in the National Register
of Historic Places. It is a replica of a church in England. Some
of the windows were imported from England in the 1870's, before
stained glass was being produced here. It will provide the perfect
setting for these hauntingly beautiful songs from England and
France of the Middle Ages.
Several of the Singers will be featured as soloists. A
carol sing-along will end the concert.
The group is directed by Barry Torres and accompanied by
Barbara Phillips-Farley.
