ST. LAWRENCE PROFESSOR'S ART WORK INCLUDED IN EXHIBITIONS

CANTON -- Sculptures by St. Lawrence University Flint Professor of 
Fine Arts J. Michael Lowe have been accepted for inclusion in two New 
York State art shows this summer.
	One of his sculptures will be in the 66th Annual National 
Exhibition of the Cooperstown Art Association, scheduled to run July 15 
through August 17. In addition, two of Lowe's sculptures will be among 
the works exhibited in the Made in New York: 2001 show, held at the 
Schweinfurth Memorial Art Center in Auburn from July 1 through August 26. 
Works for both exhibitions were selected by jurors in a competitive process.
	A native of Ohio, Lowe joined the St. Lawrence faculty in 1966. 
He is a graduate of Ohio University and received the Master of Fine Arts 
degree from Cornell University. Lowe has exhibited art works throughout 
the United States and has won a number of awards for his work.
