Local Newspaper Profiles SLU Student Researcher

Tanveer Kalo '18 a government major and history minor from Queens, New York, was profiled by the Watertown Daily Times for his research on Asian Indians who served in the U.S military during the First World War.

In spring of 2017, Mr. Kalo did an internship with the United States World War One Centennial Commission researching information for their website. The Commission published published one of Tanveer's articles, titled "Discovering the Unknown - Asian Indian soldiers in the US Military during WWI," on CentenaryNews.com and featured his research in its Aug. 30 podcast.
