5K Run/Walk Family Weekend At SLU To Benefit Komen For The Cure

CANTON - A 5K walk/run will be held at St. Lawrence University on Sunday, October 4, during Family Weekend. The event, open to the public, will benefit Susan G. Komen for the Cure, the world's largest grassroots network of breast cancer survivors and activists.

The walk/run begins outside of the Augsbury Physical Education Center at 9 a.m. Participants can register in advance at the Student Information Center or at the time of the race. Individual entry is $20; $10 for students. The first 150 entrants will receive a t-shirt; all entrants will be entered into a drawing for prizes.

Organized and sponsored by the Advocates Program and the Panhellenic Council, the event has become a traditional part of the Family Weekend schedule.
