NEW RESEARCH ON MARIJUANA TOPIC FOR TALK AT SLU

CANTON - Jason Kilmer, research scientist for the Addictive Behaviors 
Research Center at the University of Washington and an addictive 
behaviors specialist at Evergreen State College, will give a public 
talk titled "Does Pot Make You Stupid?: The New Research on Marijuana" 
on Monday, February 17, at 4 p.m. in the Formal Lounge, E.J. Noble 
University Center, St. Lawrence University. The event is open to the 
community, free of charge.
	Kilmer is a nationally known speaker on the subject of 
reducing the harm associated with drinking and drug use by college 
students. He is making his second visit to St. Lawrence, having first 
visited during the formation of the Alcohol Initiative in 2001. Kilmer 
will also consult with the Alcohol Initiative Working Committee on its 
work over the past two years and share his expertise on interventions 
aimed at reducing high-risk behaviors.
