SLU PANEL EXAMINES RACE, CLASS ISSUES RAISED BY KATRINA

CANTON - A panel of faculty members at St. Lawrence University will participate in a discussion called "Analyzing the Impact of Katrina: Race, Class, Environment" on Monday, September 19, at 7 p.m. in the auditorium of Hepburn Hall, Room 218. The event is open to the public, free of charge.

Participants are Associate Professor of English and Interim Dean of Student Life and Co-Curricular Education Margaret Kent Bass, Associate Professor of Economics Brian Chezum, Associate Professor of Environmental Studies Carolyn Johns, Campbell Fellow in Global Studies Kallen Martin and Assistant Professor of Global Studies Ganesh Trichur. The discussion will be moderated by Professor of Global Studies Eve Stoddard and Assistant Professor of History and Coordinator of U.S. Ethnic and Cultural Studies Mary Jane Smith.
