Writers Series Begins Sept. 13 At SLU, With Novelist Kathryn Davis
CANTON - The St. Lawrence University Writers Series begins on Thursday, September 13, with a talk by novelist Kathryn Davis, at 8 p.m. in the Common Room of Sykes Residence Hall. The event is open to the public, free of charge.
Davis is the author of the novels The Thin Place, The Girl Who Trod on a Loaf, Hell, Versailles, The Walking Tour and Labrador. Labrador won the 1988 Janet Heidinger Kafka Prize. She has also been awarded a Lannan Foundation Literary Award, a Guggenheim Fellowship and the Morton Dauwen Zabel Award for innovative writing. Davis is Hurst Writer in Residence at Washington University in St. Louis.
